Ellie Goulding is making massive waves in the UK scene right now. She won the Critic's Choice award at the Brit Awards this year, and her debut album Lights reached no 1 in the UK charts this month (March 2010).

Perhaps part of the reason for her success, and the Critic's Choice award, in addition to her talent, has been the powerful media campaign preceding the album release. Her record label Polydor did a great job of hiring underground producers to rework her tracks - gaining her instant credibility and acclaim.
