Joy Orbison

Joy Orbison is another underground music / dubstep wonderchild to come out of South London's Croydon. He shot to fame in 2009 with the ground-breaking Hyph Mngo, which was voted to no. 23 in Resident Advisor's top tunes of the 00's.

Here he re-works and remixes the fantastic 'Love Cry' from Four Tet. The track features crisp and clean drumbreaks alongside blissful female vocal snips. Epic pads and crackles gloss over the entire piece and a pounding bass perpetuates the track. As good as dubstep remixes can get.

Four Tet

Kieran Hebden aka Four Tet also hails from London, from a little place called Putney. His abstract sound can be heard on any of his 7 albums or numerous prolific remixes.

His most recent album, There Is Love In You, reached number 35 in the UK albums chart. The original 'Love Cry' from this album was named as Pete Tong's Essential New Tune on BBC Radio 1.

He's made covers for, remixed and re-worked music from the likes of Bloc Party, Super Furry Animals, Beth Orton, Badly Drawn Boy, Bonobo and Radiohead.

He was a collaborator on the song 'Crawl, End Crawl', used for the end credits of the recent James Bond film 'Quantum of Solace'.

Lastly, he's one of the lucky few producers to have collaborated with the elusive Burial.
